Medical Equipment PM Software for Biomed Teams
Set each device’s PM interval once, by equipment class, model or asset. Bravio raises the PM work orders, shows what is due and what was missed by facility, and records every completed PM against the device with its checklist, readings and signatures.
What is medical equipment PM software?
Medical equipment PM software schedules and records the preventive maintenance and safety inspections that medical devices need at set intervals. It keeps a due date for every device, raises PM work orders before they fall due, gives the technician the right checklist for that kind of device, and keeps the completed record so the facility can show the maintenance was done on time. In Bravio, an interval comes from the most specific place you set it: the individual asset, its asset template (model), or its equipment class. Multi-visit PM plans handle cycles such as three quarterly checks and one annual inspection, and a visit that is deferred or never done is repeated rather than silently skipped.

Set Intervals Once, Inherit Everywhere
Set an interval on the asset or its model, or (with equipment classes, switched on per account on request) give the Infusion Pump class a semiannual interval and every infusion pump inherits it unless a model or unit says otherwise.
PM Plans for Mixed Cycles
Four visits at a quarterly interval is a twelve-month cycle. Give visits 1 to 3 the quarterly procedure and visit 4 both procedures. The work order says “visit 4 of 4”, so the technician knows which job they were sent to do.
Upcoming and Missed PMs by Facility
Due equipment grouped by facility and month, filtered to the next 7, 30 or 90 days. Missed PMs sit on their own tab, listing overdue equipment that has no open work order yet.
PM Work Orders in Bulk
Tick the assets, choose Generate Work Orders, and optionally set one technician and date for the batch. Leave the date blank and each asset uses its own due date.
The Right Procedure for the Device and the Job
Attach procedures to equipment classes or specific models. A class can have one procedure for a PM and another for a repair, so a ventilator PM and a ventilator repair get different checklists.
PM Rounds Without Signal
Technicians scan a barcode and land in that device’s report, with its risk level shown. Readings, photos and signatures save on the phone and sync later.
How Bravio decides when a PM is due
| Where it is set | Where you find it | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| The individual asset | The asset record | Wins over everything else for that one unit. |
| The asset template (model) | Asset Templates, PM Schedule tab | Applies to every unit of that model that has no value of its own. |
| The equipment class (on request) | Settings, Equipment Classes | Default for every model in the class. Editing it changes every template and asset underneath that has not set its own value. |
| A PM plan | Asset template, PM Plan | A repeating cycle of visits, each with its own procedures. The asset’s place in the cycle moves when a PM is completed. |
| Nothing | - | Shown as unset. Bravio never invents a default interval. |
One detail is worth knowing before you plan a month: when you generate PM work orders from the schedule, each asset’s next due date moves forward at that moment. Its place in a multi-visit PM plan moves only when the PM is completed, so the visit most often deferred, usually the annual, is not lost.
What a completed PM record contains
- The device: asset tag, manufacturer, model, serial and location.
- The procedure followed and every answer in it: pass/fail items, numbers and measurements, dropdowns and notes.
- Photos, up to 20 per photo field, printed in a grid on the PDF.
- Parts used and the labour logged by the technician’s timer.
- Whether the device passed its inspection on that visit. A device nobody judged shows as not judged, never as a pass.
- Technician and customer signatures, each with a printed name and a server-stamped time.
- A branded PDF the facility keeps in its equipment file.
Importing the PM schedule you already have
An asset import carries PM Frequency and Next PM Date columns. Leave Next PM Date blank and give Last WO Closed plus a frequency, and Bravio calculates it: a device last serviced on January 10 at a quarterly interval comes in due on April 10. Leave the frequency blank too and Bravio takes it from the procedure, then from the asset template. Older CMMS exports that pack procedure, frequency and due date into one column (for example “PM Inspection(12)(July 2026)”) are read as well.
Who uses Bravio for medical equipment PM?
- Independent biomed shops and ISOs running PM contracts across many customer facilities
- In-house HTM and clinical engineering departments with a risk-based PM program
- Imaging, lab and infusion service companies with interval-driven PM work
- Shops replacing a PM spreadsheet that no longer says what is overdue
How we work with you
Bravio is built around how your shop actually runs.
Not around how software companies assume it runs. The product is shaped by real service weeks inside independent biomed shops — their PM lists, their inspection forms, their report layouts. Yours get the same treatment.
We start by watching you work
A 30-minute session where you walk us through a real week — the PM list, the paper checklists, the spreadsheet nobody wants to touch. No slide deck.

Your workflow shapes the roadmap
If your inspection form, report layout, or PM cadence does not fit what we have built, we change the product. You see it ship in weeks, not quarters.
You talk to the people writing the code
No account manager, no ticket queue, no support tier. A direct line to the team building Bravio.
Your data stays yours
Import from spreadsheets, export everything whenever you want. If Bravio is not the right fit for your shop, we will tell you on the call.
What to expect
Book a 30-minute working sessionYou will be talking to the team that builds Bravio — not a sales rep.
- Asset registry, work orders, PM schedules, rapid inspections, signed and audit-trailed service reports, and invoicing — all in production today.
- The people building Bravio are the people you deal with. No account manager in between.
- We go through pricing openly on the first call, sized to the shop you actually run. Flat plans, no per-user tiers, no implementation fees.
- Bring your equipment list and your report format. You will see Bravio running on your own data before you commit to anything.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Bravio schedule PMs by risk level?
Yes, with equipment classification, which we switch on for your account on request. Equipment classes carry a default risk level and a default PM interval, and every model and asset in the class inherits both unless you override them. Risk levels have a separate Critical flag for equipment where every scheduled PM has to be completed, and technicians see the risk level on the asset in the app.
What happens to a PM that gets missed?
It appears on the Missed PMs tab of the PM schedule if it is overdue and has no open work order. For equipment on a multi-visit PM plan, the cycle position only advances when a PM is completed, so a visit that was cancelled or never carried out is repeated rather than skipped.
Can one device get a quarterly check and an annual inspection?
Yes, with a PM plan. Set the interval to quarterly, add four visits, give visits 1 to 3 the quarterly procedure and visit 4 both the quarterly and the annual procedure. One work order is generated every three months and names the visit, for example “visit 4 of 4”.
Do technicians need a signal to complete a PM?
No. The iOS and Android app works offline: it reads from a copy of the data on the phone, saves every reading, photo and signature locally, and sends them when the phone reconnects.
Can we import our existing PM schedule?
Yes. Asset imports accept PM Frequency, Next PM Date and Last WO Closed, and Bravio calculates the next PM date from the last completed date and the frequency when you do not supply it. We do the migration with you for free.
Does Bravio decide our PM intervals?
No. Bravio schedules the intervals you set, whether they come from the manufacturer or from a hospital’s documented alternate equipment maintenance program. Choosing them, and justifying any departure from the manufacturer, is the responsibility of the hospital and its qualified personnel.
